Sand river
Vegetation around Sand River ranges from mountain grasses to succulents. The land was previously used as winter grazing for sheep, but it is now managed as a conservation area, with the aim of rehabilitating the veld where necessary, and encouraging the indigenous animals. This makes it the perfect place to see a wide variety of animals.
